About

T.J. Natarajan

SAMSAT honors the memory of T.J. Natarajan by naming our summer camps program the T.J. Natarajan STEM Summer Camps.  T.J. was born in Tamil Nadu, India, earned B.S. and M.S. degrees in engineering, and later became a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) working in Houston.  In 1984, he and his family moved to San Antonio as he started his own business performing general contracting and developing custom buildings.  He worked on homes, hotels, professional buildings, and houses of worship.  T.J. was a driving force behind the establishment of the San Antonio Museum of Science and Technology (SAMSAT).   He shared and advanced the vision of making science and technology accessible to children from South Texas from a young age to build the workforce of the future.
