Exhibit 1 (Augment Reality; Marine Engine Tank), Information

What is AR, history of it?
Augmented Reality, AR, was invented in 1968 by Ivan Sutherland  with a head mount system called "The Sword of Damocles".  In 1990, the term "Augment Reality" was coined, now we acknowledge 4 types of augment reality: Projection Based, Marked Based, Markerless, and Superimposition Based.

What are you looking at?
The tablet has an app that registers the image of the device in front of it and has the specs.  In pulling this information it shares to the reader the specs, details, and parts of the device. If there is an issue it can share the information in real time to another party.  Hypothetically, an expert can be relayed the information and provide guidance on how to fix it in real time, even if the expert is half way across the country.  Such programs are being used currently down the street in Boeing.

What the AR does?
AR paints a part of our reality with virtual information, allowing more information to be accessible, easier to interpret, and share.  This can be done through many examples, the exhibit in AREA 21 shows three examples.  The tablet specifically is meant to relay information between parties and provide a library of information efficiently and concisely.

Why is it significant?
AR allows for information to be shared faster between parties, despite distance. It also allows for a large amount of information to be stored and interpreted by the user even if in a small device. While used int the manufacturing industry it has the potential to be beneficial to many different fields and sectors.
