

Exhibit Letters and Spheres, Information




How does it work?
There is a sensor on the small shelf the reads the users hand movements. The program is then able to create a rendering of the hand movements on reality on the screen. The user can then pick and move the letters and spheres as though they were grasping them in real life. The user can also reset the scene by pulling the lever.
What program is used?
The program that creates the scene is Unity, a program typically used for video games. The sensor reads the movement of the user. In reading the users movements through the sensor and can replicate the motions in the program.
Who made it?
The program and exhibit was created by an intern. They made the program in collaboration with SAMSAT and left it as part of AREA 21.
